Writing Contests

This is just a quick notice for writing contests coming up and how you can find more.
If you’re looking for writing contest I highly recommend Sally Stuart’s Christian Writers Marketing Guide. Actually, if you’re looking for anything related to the publishing world, I’d recommend that marketing guide.

The American Christian Fiction Writer’s organization is holding their annual Genesis contest for new novels. They are asking people to submit the first 15 pages of the novel as well as a summary.

Also, the William Faulkner foundation is holding its annual writing contest. They’ve got pretty much every category covered, from Novel to novella, short story to essay. They’ve even got a Work In Progress category.

An Anniversary Contest

Jeanette at Audience of One is holding a really neat contest. At least I think it’s sweet. In honor of both her blog followers and her 35th wedding anniversary, she’s put together a gift basket of 35 fun office supplies (including chocolate and cappuccino) all in the shades of blue and lavender she had at her wedding.
To enter all you need to do is follow her blog and leave a comment. Additional entries can be earned by mentioning the contests on your Twitter, blog, or Face Book account.
